can/may/will/have to/should 활용법

Pattern#3 조동사 배우기~!

조동사란 본동사에 가능성, 추측등 어법적 기능을 더해주는 보조동사를 말합니다.

조동사

will, can, may, should, will, must, have to, need to등등

중요! 주어가 3인칭 이라도 조동사가 문장에 있으면, 동사는 원형으로 사용됩니다. (과거동사 No! & -es ,-s , No!No!)

a) can (능력) - ~할수있다! 능력을 나타낸다.

말의 의미상 미래시제도 나타내지만, be able to 로 바꿔쓰기도 합니다.

b) may (허락) - ~해도 좋다, ~해도 괜찬다.

may 는 can 보다 공손한 표현입니다.

c) will (의지)- 의지,~할 것이다.

의문문에서는 will 보다 공손한 표현인 Would ~? 로 대신한다

d) have to, must, have got to (강제성)-

~하지 않으면 않된다 라는 뜻, 강제 의무를 나타냅니다.

c) should(의견) - 강제성 없이 ~해야한다.

~하는게 좋다 라고 말할때는 should를 사용합니다.

1) 평서문에서 본동사 앞에 온다~!

She will study.

She can study.

She may study.

She has to study.

She should study.

I can swim

I must finish my home work.

You should go home now.

She may go now.

Tim will play soccer tonight.

2) 의문문일땐 주어 앞에 조동사를 넣는다~!

Can you study now?

May I help you?

Should he study for the exam?

Would you go to a theater tonight?

Can she eat beef?

Should he go there right now?

3) 의문 부정문이때는 조동사+not을 붙인다!

Can't you study now?

Wouldn't you pass me the dish?

Can't you finishe the homework tonight?

Wouldn't you meet Jack tonight?

Shouldn't you go home by 6pm?

4) 조동사가 들어가면 3인칭 주어 동사 원형에 “s 또는 es" 가 않붙는다.

She will go to school.

She can play the violine very well.

He will have dinner at 7 pm

Jack may help you for the homework.

Cindy should study hard for the midterm exam.

can- 그들은 자전거를 탈수 있습니다 (They can ride a bike)

신디 는 영어를 못합니다 ( Cindy can't speak English)

너는 학교에 갈수있니. ( Can you go to school?)

may- 당신은 먼저 가도 좋습니다 ( You may go earlier)

제가 화장실에 가도 될까요? (May I go to washroom?)

will- 나는 이번 게임에서 이길 거야. ( I will win this game!)

should- 나는 집에 11시까지 가는게 좋겠어요. ( I should go home by 11)

내가 의사를 만나는게 좋을까요? ( Should I see a doctor)

내가 비타민을 복용하는 것이 좋을까요? (Should I take vitamin?)

Tip1-Have you heard about ~? (the news, Racheal, the story of three pigs)

Tip2- What if~? (What will happen if~? I don't be here on time, you are right)

Tip3- Which one do you~? (어떤 것을 할래요? prefer, want, like, have, need?)
